KyANA committees are composed of dedicated members who volunteer their time and expertise to achieve our strategic goals. Whether you are interested in legislative advocacy, educational programming, or member wellness, there is a place for your voice. Most communication takes place through Zoom calls.

LEADERSHIP & FINANCE

Finance Committee

⏱ Monthly meetings (January-August)

Provides financial oversight, develops the annual operating budget, sets long-range financial goals, and updates financial policies for the Board of Directors.

Leadership Identification

⏱ Monthly meetings (1-year term)

Identifies emerging leaders, conducts the association's election process, and oversees KyANA's scholarship opportunities. The Gary Jenkins Memorial Scholarship and the KyANA Annual Congress Scholarship. (Elected Position)

ADVOCACY

Government Relations (GRC)

⏱ Monthly meetings (October-February)

Furthers members' interests by promoting laws and regulations that benefit CRNAs, with a focus on healthcare funding and workplace legislation.

KyANA PAC

⏱ 1-hour Bi-Monthly calls

Builds relationships with legislators and attends events to educate them about the essential role of the CRNA profession in Kentucky.

PROGRAMS & OUTREACH

Program Committee

⏱ 1-hour monthly meetings

Plans and implements KyANA’s educational programming by selecting topics, goals, and qualified speakers for the Annual Scientific Meeting.

Public Relations & Social Media

⏱ 1-hour monthly calls

Assists in promoting CRNAs and KyANA through media channels, social platforms, and the association newsletter.

WELLNESS & RESIDENTS

Wellness Committee

⏱ 1-hour quarterly calls

Develops activities and services that promote members' physical and mental health, including wellness events at KyANA conferences.

Nurse Anesthesia Resident (NAR)

⏱ Quarterly virtual meetings (2-year term)
Increased meetings may be necessary during planning efforts for the DNP Poster Symposium.

Ensures early engagement with residents, plans and hosts the DNP Poster Symposium, and promotes scholarship awareness, co-chaired by the VP and Student Rep. (Appointed by Program Directors)
