KYANA SCHOLARSHIPS KyANA sponsors three different AANA meetings each year to encourage student student involvement in political issues that impact nurse anesthetists on both state and national levels. AANA Mid-Year Assembly (April) AANA Annual Congress (August) AANA Fall Leadership Summit (November) Nurse anesthesia students that would like to apply for a scholarship to one of the meetings listed above will need to submit an online application. Sponsored students will attend the meeting as a representative of the state association. Each sponsored student may also submit a 500 word article and photo describing their experience at the meeting to be included in the KyANA Gasline Newsletter. Meeting expenses up to the maximum limit may be submitted no later than 30 days post meeting for reimbursement.
SANDRA TUNAJEK SCHOLARSHIP KyANA sponsors an annual scholarship through the AANA Foundation for students that are residents of Kentucky. The program provides assistance to students involved in a nurse anesthesia program and CRNAs enrolled in doctoral study. The AANA Foundation manages the Sandra Tunajek Scholarship and selects the winner. For more information visit AANA Foundation. Application criteria: GARY JENKINS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – AANA MIDYEAR ASSEMBLY Each year, KyANA awards five scholarships to allow students to attend the Midyear Assembly. This scholarship was established in honor of the late Gary Jenkins, CRNA, to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about advocating for the profession on Capitol Hill and advancing CRNA practice. - Kentucky RN license prior to CRNA school - Clinical sites within Kentucky

One of the applicants is the recipient of AANA’s Sandra Tunajek scholarship, the other is selected by the Board of Directors. Applicants:
- Kentucky residence prior to CRNA school Awards are a maximum of $1,750. The application process begins in early spring and scholarship recipients are selected by the KyANA Board of Directors. |
