Desirée Chappell CRNA, FAANA
Desirée is Vice President of Clinical Quality at NorthStar Anesthesia and maintains a part-time clinical practice. She is the Co-Editor in Chief and Lead Anchor for TopMedTalk, a global perioperative medicine and anesthesia podcast with over 2,000 episodes and 2 million downloads. Desirée is a faculty member for the MTSA Acute Pain Management Fellowship, specializing in ERAS and perioperative care. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation and contributes to its Patient Safety Priorities Advisory Group on Infectious Disease.
Desiree is an ERAS, Perioperative Care, and an Evidenced Based practice enthusiast. She has lectured nationally and internationally on these topics and has hosted hundreds of conversations with world leaders in this space.
Desiree lives in Louisville with her husband, Chris, and their 2 boys, Elliott and Bennett.

Saundra Smalley CRNA, MSN
Smalley graduated with an MSN from the University of Cincinnati in 2004 and became a CRNA. She worked for ten years at a community hospital in Louisville, KY, caring for healthy pediatric patients, bariatrics, orthopedics, and general surgery adult patients. In 2015, she moved to Norton Children's Hospital, a Level 1 pediatric trauma facility. In the summer of 2023, she joined the faculty of the University of Louisville School of Nursing's anesthesia program. Smalley currently works as both a part-time clinician and part-time faculty member. Teaching the next generation of anesthesia providers has been a wonderful experience.

Angela Mund DNP, CRNA, FAANA, FAAN
Dr. Angela Mund received a certificate in Nurse Anesthesia from the Minneapolis Veteran’s Affairs School of Nurse Anesthesia in 1998 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2008 from the University of Minnesota. Dr Mund is a veteran of the US Army Nurse Corps, serving as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from 1996-2006. Dr Mund has served on state and national professional boards, including serving as the President of the Association of Veteran’s Affairs Nurse Anesthetists and as President of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists. She is currently the President-elect of the South Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Dr Mund is the Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina, leading a team of faculty and staff from the physician assistant, nurse anesthesia, cardiovascular perfusion, healthcare studies, and genetic counseling programs. Prior to this position, she served as a nurse anesthesia program administrator for 10 years.

Kathryn Walker CRNA, PMHNP
Walker is an entrepreneurial CRNA and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Since founding her company, Revitalist, she has entered the public market and is leading her company in national and international growth strategies within the newly evolving field of psychedelic medicine.
